Bursa - Top 10 travel destinations in Turkey

Bursa in Turkey is popularly referred to as Yeşil Bursa, which literally means Green Bursa. This is in reference to the city’s lovely gardens and parks scattered in the metropolis. One of the city’s amazing attractions is the Archaeology Museum or the Arkeoloji Müzesi. It will take you roughly thirty minutes to go through the whole museum. It houses some regional artifacts that date back to the third century B.C. and exceptionally remarkable is the assortment of glass and ceramic items from the Classical era, plenty of which has stayed astonishingly intact. The Muradiye Complex or Muradiye Külliye, built by Murat II from 1424 to 1426, is another fascinating place. This complex has a medrese, a soup kitchen, a mosque, a bath, and even a royal cemetery that lies in a lush garden of cypress trees, magnolias and roses. Tourists would be astounded when they see the Green Tomb or Yesil Türbesi. This is a Selçuk-influenced tomb and it has become Bursa’s symbol. This hexagonal building’s tiles are startlingly turquoise and it was covered by a lead dome leaning on a plaster rim.
