Kalkan - Top 10 travel destinations in Turkey

Kalkan is one place in Turkey that visitors would not forget. Some amazing travel spots here are the ancient sites of Xanthos, Patara, Tlos and Letoon. These places are easily accessible by car and some tour groups offer excursions to those locations. Two extraordinary monuments in Kalkan are the City Gate, which dates back to the Hellenistic Era and the other is the Vespasian’s Arch, which was built to pay tribute to the Roman emperor. Patara used to be identified as the major port town of Lycia in Kalkan but as of late, it is better recognized as the birthplace of the Bishop of Myra who is widely known as Santa Claus.
